Full description

Verde is a grass paver: an open concrete grid whose cells are filled with topsoil and seeded, or with gravel. The concrete web carries the vehicle load while the cells stay planted, so a parking area or a fire lane reads as lawn rather than as tarmac.

Beyond the look, it is a drainage decision. Rain soaks through the cells instead of running off, which reduces the load on the storm drain and often matters in planning approvals for large paved areas.

80 mm for cars and occasional traffic; 100 mm where heavier vehicles use the surface, such as fire access routes.

Recommendation

The build-up matters more here than with a solid paver: the sub-base has to carry the load and still drain, so use a coarse, open-graded material rather than a fine compacted one. Fill the cells with a soil and sand mix rather than pure topsoil, which compacts and kills the grass. Water well in the first season. Expect the grass in the cells to need the same care as a lawn, and to thin out where cars park in the same spot every day.
