Short description

Solido interlocking concrete pavers in 60, 80 and 100 mm. The heavy-duty range, for driveways, yards and areas with lorry traffic.

Full description

Solido is the load-bearing range in the Leier paving family. The interlocking shape transfers wheel loads to the neighbouring pavers instead of concentrating them on one unit, which is what lets the same surface carry cars, vans and lorries.

Three thicknesses cover the whole range of traffic. 60 mm for driveways and car parks. 80 mm for delivery yards and bus routes. 100 mm for industrial platforms, container yards and anywhere heavy goods vehicles turn and brake — the only thickness in the Leier range built for that.

Available in grey, red and anthracite, coloured through the body so kerb scuffs and tyre wear do not expose a pale core.

Key benefits

  • Interlocking shape spreads wheel loads across neighbouring pavers
  • Three thicknesses: 60, 80 and 100 mm
  • 100 mm for heavy goods vehicle traffic
  • Vibro-pressed concrete, frost and de-icing salt resistant
  • Colour runs through the body of the paver
  • Individual pavers can be lifted and relaid for access to services

Recommendation

Match the thickness to the traffic, not to the budget: 60 mm for cars, 80 mm for delivery vehicles, 100 mm where lorries turn or brake. The sub-base matters more than the paver — a 100 mm paver on a thin sub-base will still settle. Lay on a 3–5 cm bedding layer of grit over a compacted, well-drained sub-base sized for the expected load. Set the kerb line first and close the paving against it. Order about 5% over the measured area, for cuts and spares.
