Serpentino has an S-shaped profile: each paver hooks into its neighbours on both long sides. The interlock stops individual pavers creeping under braking and turning loads, which is what keeps the surface flat over years rather than months.

It is the value option in the Leier range — a plain, well-proven shape without a decorative surface, so the cost per square metre stays low. Used for courtyards, terraces, garden paths and pedestrian areas, and at 60 mm it also takes car traffic on a driveway.

Two colours, grey and red, coloured through the body, so chips and tyre wear do not expose a pale core.

Recommendation

Lay on a compacted sub-base with a 3–5 cm bedding layer of grit. The interlock only works if the pavers are pushed fully home — tap each course tight before moving on, and vibrate the finished surface with a plate compactor over a rubber mat. Mix pavers from several pallets while laying. Order about 5% over the measured area, for cuts at edges and for spares.
