The special pieces that finish a Francia roof at the gable and let it breathe. Verge tiles close the edge where the tiles meet the gable wall, in left and right versions; 2.4 pieces cover a linear metre of verge.

The ventilation tile replaces a field tile and lets warm air out of the roof space, one per ten square metres. Both are cut to the Francia profile and will not fit another model.

Recommendation

Measure both gables and order left and right separately — they are not interchangeable, and a roof short of one side stops at the verge. Put the ventilation tiles low on the slope and near the ridge, not scattered: air has to enter below and leave above, or it does not move at all.
