Short description

Split-face concrete fence blocks, 400 x 200 x 200 mm, in four colours. Dry-laid and filled, 12.5 pieces per square metre of wall.

Full description

The Arhitektur block is the load-bearing part of a Leier fence: a hollow concrete unit with a textured, split-stone face on both sides, so the wall reads the same from the street and from the garden.

The blocks stack around a reinforced core. Each course is laid dry, the vertical bars run through the cavities, and the cavities are filled with concrete — which is why a fence built this way needs no plaster, no cladding and no maintenance beyond the occasional wash.

Four colours, coloured through the body of the block rather than on the surface, so a chipped edge does not expose grey concrete underneath.

Key benefits

  • Split-stone texture on both faces — no plastering or cladding needed
  • Colour runs through the block, so chips stay discreet
  • Hollow core takes vertical reinforcement and concrete fill
  • Frost and de-icing salt resistant
  • 12.5 pieces per square metre of fence
  • Matches the Arhitektur column and cladding elements and the Modus caps

Recommendation

Set the first course on a reinforced concrete footing that goes below the frost line — a fence that moves in winter cracks at the joints, and no amount of care in the courses above will save it. Plan the column spacing before you start: 2 to 2.5 m is the usual bay, and it should divide the run cleanly so you do not end up cutting blocks at one end. Fill the cavities in lifts rather than all at once. Finish the wall with a Modus covering plate; an unprotected top course lets water into the cores.
